A curriculum providing the highest quality education
Uniform training standards and our Power Pilates Teaching Tools provide an essential blueprint for students to reach their full potential. These tools address the anatomical foundations, ideal and alternative movements, and specific verbal and sensory cues to provide the student with a thorough teaching foundation. Tools that take the average teacher years to acquire are achieved in months with our teaching methods.
What all the other courses leave out – we define, drill and deliver.
Core Mat I
The Core Mat I program is the foundation of the Power Pilates method. Each subsequent program builds upon the information learned during this course. During this weekend you will learn to teach the 18 beginner level mat exercises and be introduced to Power Pilates teaching tools, philosophy, and teaching formula. These tools are what makes us different from any other teaching course out there. It’s the art of teaching.
Core Mat II
During the Core Mat II weekend, you will learn 12 intermediate level exercises, including where to add them within the sequence of the beginner level mat class, and continue to work on your teaching skills. Our students say that “everything starts to click” during the intermediate mat weekend. Completing the Core Mat II weekend expands the range of clients you can work with and strengthens your teaching ability.
The Comprehensive training is our most extensive program and covers beginner, intermediate and advanced level exercises utilizing the Pilates apparatus – Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrels, Ped-o-Pull and Magic Circle . You’ll also learn how to work with Special Case clients (i.e. pregnancy, back problem, neck, knee, shoulder, etc.). We’ll continue to refine the teaching tools learned during the Core Mat I and II weekends, build and develop your teaching skills, and sharpen your eye for subtle exercise modifications to enhance your ability to serve all clients regardless of age or fitness level.
The Systems Program presents the same material as the Comprehensive training but in a different format. The curriculum covers beginner, intermediate and advanced level exercises utilizing the Pilates apparatus – Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrels, Ped-o-Pull and Magic Circle – as well as understanding how to work with Special Case clients (i.e. obesity, pregnancy, back problem, neck, knee, shoulder, etc.).
The System Training track allows students to complete their education over a longer time period or while meeting other obligations (work, family, etc.). Systems I, II, and III are designed to be taken together, progressing to a new level within 12 months of finishing the previous level. They should not be looked at as stand-alone programs. Completing all three levels is equivalent to a Comprehensive certificate.
Join us for an Advanced Mat Intensive September 28-29, 2018! Learn the 14 Advanced level exercises and where to add them within the sequence of the Intermediate level mat class. You will learn how to incorporate the advanced exercises safely and effectively into your client’s repertoire. Graduates will know how to teach a 60-minute advanced level Mat class (including modifications and variations for advancement).
Open to Power Pilates Core Mat II & Apparatus Graduates. (8 CEC’s)
